Teaching & Facilitation
Nellie is an enthusiastic educator with experience facilitating interdisciplinary courses and workshops at The University of British Columbia, The Dance Centre, Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, and Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz.
Nellie is a long-term artist in residence with the Vancouver AIRS program, where they develop and facilitate experimental fashion programming for children. Nellie was also the facilitator of a Fashion Theory Reading Group, held in locations across Berlin between 2017 and 2019.
Photos are from Nellie’s 2024 course Studies in Business Casual, in which intermediate students at Waverley Elementary School considered the culture of mainstream dress codes, and each transformed a classic button-down shirt into a creation of their own.
