A Collection of Felt Movements
A Collection of Felt Movements is a collaborative project by Nellie Gossen and Michaela Gerussi. The project bridges their respective work in performance and clothing research, and the intersection of these fields as they relate to embodiment.
In the context of this project, they created adaptive outfits which act as individualized, wearable sites of research. Each garment is altered over time, responding to their needs and desires. Their working methodology follows an ongoing, functional and responsive dialogue between clothing items and the moving body.
This work was originally presented at Altes Finanzamt (Berlin) in March 2019.
